Why we created SongTeach.

As a worship ministry, at Vineyard Records UK we have the privilege of searching out new worship songs through relationship with both Vineyard songwriters and their pastors. These songs are what you hear on the albums that we release through Vineyard Records UK - our motto is 'from the church, for the church' and these albums are the best way to share these songs with the wider church.

However, we are very aware that most churches are not blessed with quite as many musicians or musical gear as on some of our CDs, so we came up with the concept of SongTeach as a way of stripping these songs back to the simplicity of an acoustic guitar. Hopefully by demonstrating the two ends of the musical spectrum (being the full band on the CD and the acoustic versions on SongTeach) you will be able to translate these songs into the setting you are in.

So what is SongTeach?
The primary aim is to be a resource to help teach new songs and new ways to play them in a simple stripped back style. Over time we hope to expand this to include how instruments can play their part within a song in a bigger band setting, including hints and tips from musicians from Vineyard Records UK albums on how they actually play some songs.
Hopefully you will pick up some tips, tricks and ideas along the way that can help you grow as a worship leader.

What is SongTeach not?
SongTeach is not a place to learn how to play guitar or any other instrument for that matter - if that's what you are looking for we'd recommend finding a guitar teacher or having a look at PLAY  (though we are including some technique sections that will help your playing)
